The San Diego Regional Immunization Registry (SDIR), part of the California Immunization Registry (CAIR), is a web-based, immunization tracking system that allows health care providers and other authorized users to access an individual’s record of immunizations and thereby determine what additional vaccines are needed. SDIR training has two levels:
SDIR Basic:

• Searching records
• Adding demographics
• Inserting immunization information
SDIR Advanced:
• Vaccine inventory
• Reports
• Missing immunizations
• Missed Opportunities
• Provider profile
• Vaccine inventory management

The San Diego Regional Immunization Registry (SDIR) is a collaborative effort of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency Public Health Services Immunization Program and other public and private health care providers, schools, child care and other county programs. SDIR provides an electronic record of all immunizations given to an individual by participating providers in both the public and private sectors. It is a web-based tool that helps doctors with their immunization practice management and increases patient satisfaction by decreasing unnecessary immunizations and decreases vaccine preventable diseases by identifying shots that are needed.

SDIR is part of the California State Immunization Information System (SIIS) which is a collaboration of nine regional and two county immunization registries which ensures the secure, electronic exchange of immunization records to support the elimination of vaccine preventable diseases.
